Kasey Bratcher, Senior Vice President of Professional Learning
Kasey is a passionate leader striving to make a big impact on mathematics education across the country. She is an advocate for student thought and is driven to support educators as they create their own LONG + LIVE + MATH classrooms full of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. As Sr. Vice President of Professional Learning, Kasey is now living out her passion by leading the superb work of Carnegie Learning’s Professional Learning group in schools and districts across the U.S. Before joining Carnegie Learning full time in 2011, Kasey taught middle and high school mathematics for eight years and served as a Mathematics Consultant and coach for the largest Educational Cooperative in Kentucky.
Janet Tomlinson, Manager of School Partnerships
Janet joined Carnegie Learning in February of 2009, excited to be part of a company that impacts the way teachers and students approach learning mathematics. Janet's passion for teaching mathematics to both students and teachers in an engaging and challenging way has shaped her career. She has taught middle and high school students and served as Math Department head at North Oconee HS and a District K-12 Math Coach. Janet took her love of math to the University of Georgia, where she served as a Project Coordinator, working with K-12 teachers. In addition, she worked with K-5 teachers as an instructor with the local Regional Education Center. She traveled the state of Georgia, as a Teacher on Special Assignment with the Georgia Board of Education, working with 6-12 teachers as the state made a dramatic shift towards CC standards. Earning her National Boards Certification in 2005 had an impact on how she viewed her own teaching and what the math classroom should look like and sound like. She now works with teachers around the country to share what she has learned and to continue her own learning as a teacher and mathematician.
